Lacquered furniture gives a unique, beautiful appearance, making the classic outdoor furniture from Koningdamen an exclusive and top quality product.
With the complete galvanizing of the steel furniture and the lacquering of the hardwood seat and back slats and armrests, we make a total outdoor product that remains good and beautiful for many years and can easily remain outside.
The steel furniture itself (frame of the chair, bench, cushion box or table frame) are coated in color after the galvanizing process (process of wet painting or powder coating). In a separate process, the hardwood slats (seat, back and arm rests) are then varnished in several layers. A strong two-component paint is the basis for the paintwork of the hardwood slats and arm rests, which is therefore well scratch resistant and resistant to weathering due to sunlight and water.
Over the years, due to the weather conditions, the paint will become less glossy, but this does not detract from the strength of the paint. It is precisely the combination of the lacquer color with the color scheme of the environment in which the furniture will be placed (window frames and doors, color of the house, the background) that makes it a beautiful whole.
We use various options for varnishing the outdoor furniture. As standard, the furniture is varnished in high gloss and the hardwood slats and arm rests are fully painted, which means that the surface is smooth and the grain texture of the hardwood is no longer visible. Alternatively, we also varnish such that the grain structure of the hardwood remains visible. As already indicated, high-gloss lacquer is the standard, but we also have lacquered in matte lacquer, both the steel frames and hardwood.
The standard color black-green applies to all outdoor furniture from Koningdamen. This dark green color from Koningdamen has been specially developed for our outdoor furniture. The furniture can also be painted in any RAL color. It is also possible to paint the steel frame and the hardwood slats in different colors. It applies to everything that customization in finish and color is possible. Many outdoor furniture As already indicated, Koningdamen is painted in standard dark green, a very classic color. With lacquers of this classic outdoor furniture in a different color you create a surprising, fresh atmosphere and appearance. Classic design in a modern, frivolous appearance. Any RAL color is possible.
If the slats are not varnished, the untreated hardwood will turn grey over time, as a result of the light (and outside in combination with rainwater). This has no consequences for the construction and durability in itself. In that sense, aging is not worse (or better), this is primarily a choice of whether or not to like it and is also dependent on the environment in which the furniture is placed. To prevent aging, the hardwood slats and arm rests can be oiled, but it is essential that this is repeated annually to keep it good.
